[English] Yerbanegra is perceived as a turning point in Kif's music, the closing of a phase, a link between the first stage of the group, more inclined towards the hip hop/soul universe, and a new search for movement. Movement viewed as movement per se (as opposed to stillness), as the musical restlessness that the duo proposes and renews in its live
performances or in the movement of bodies in a dance club.
Yerbanegra is made for dancing.
And so, dancing in a pool of mutual influences, comes this first EP of Kif remixes: Fran Nasser, Mara, Par, Sidirum and
Tinitus practice dissections, splices and seams to güiro, charango bass and drums.
The possibilities are practically endless, and the result is a journey that flirts with Cumbia, Boom-Bap,
Dancehall, Rolling Hats, Ambient and IDM, with one foot in the club and another one in the purest form
of musical experimentation .
The best material to look forward to listen to while waiting for Kif's new LP.
